Thursday 11/12/14: TAHAL and VODOKANAL signed an agreement for the planning, design and construction of a water treatment plant and pumping system (with a capacity of 115,000 m³ per day) in Yakutsk, Russia. This is a turnkey project encompassing all the stages from planning to operation and is expected to continue for approximately 40 months. The value of the project is $ 67 million. Most of the funding for the project is provided by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development EBRD, and the balance is funded by the Republic of Yakutsk. Beyond the engineering and execution challenge of design and construction of such a large scale facility using advanced technologies in one of the coldest cities in the world, this agreement positions TAHAL Group as a leading company in the significant and strategic market of Russia and the CIS, where TAHAL already participates in projects worth tens of millions of dollars.
