TAHAL Group continues its winning streak of projects in India: to set up a USD 29M water supply system.

Or Yehuda, Israel – November 2017: TAHAL Group, a leading global provider of sustainable infrastructure development projects in emerging markets, announced today that it has been awarded a new project of USD 29M in India.

This is the fourth project which has been awarded to TAHAL in India since the beginning of the year, bringing its projects in India to about USD 215M.

The group announced today that it has won a tender for the construction of a water supply system for the city of Nagercoil in the state of Tamil Nadu for USD million. This is the sixth project that TAHAL has won in India and the fourth such project in 2017. In total, TAHAL has won projects totaling $ 215 million in India over the past three years.

The project, to be built for the Tamil Nadu State Water and Sewage Company, will include the renovation, expansion and upgrading of a water supply network in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu. The project is funded by IBRD and the World Bank (through the local government) and will supply water to 85,000 households. Scheduled to be completed in 30 months, the implementation stage will include construction of pumping stations, water treatment facilities, conveyance pipelines and a number of operational reservoirs. A twelve months maintenance period will commence upon completion of construction.
